Yep I love this iron! This is my second steam generator iron and I don't think I will ever go back. The water tank is great and takes a full bottle of ironing water at 2 litres. You don't need to remove it to fill it and it has a large spout so no spills. The iron has very good cable lengths for power and steam. The iron is so easy to use. You switch it on, wait for the beeps and away you go. No temperature settings to worry about or clothing labels to check. I've been using this for several weeks now and haven't burnt anything with the OptimalTEMP technology. I just seem to whizz through my ironing now. The iron is also easily stored with the cables wrapping into the base and a clip holds the iron in place whilst moving.

I've been using this iron for a couple of months now and it's the best one I've used. Flawless movement, no drips, no stains, very efficient and easy to use. It's also a lot lighter that other steam irons I've used. One time I accidentally left water in it for nearly a week and it had no issues. I've done this before and its caused a build up of limescale but this time I had no issues. I don't know why but I was extremely impressed that I didn't have to then clean it. The only drawback is the way the cable is stored. I've found that it comes out of the area used to store it quick easily so a couple of times, I've went to pick the iron up and the cable has unwound onto the floor. This just means I either had to pick it up or be careful moving it over to the ironing board. It's not a massive issue so don't let this put you off. Overall, it's a great product and one that I would highly recommend.

Using this iron has made ironing soo much easier for me. Its soo easy and simple to us this iron no fear of burning anything as it sets itself to the temperature for the material, shirts and dresses are simple to iron, The iron is very simple to use and to clean it has great features aswell.

Was sent to me as a promotional offer so wasn't sure what to expect. I love the way this iron glides on the fabric. And so far its worked great on all fabrics such such as uniforms,shirts,jeans,trousers,and even very creased kids karate kit which is a thick cotton fabric. We are a busy family of 6 so i don't tend to iron daily,clothe's just build up for me weekly. I can iron 4 hours straight. This iron is now saving me time which im loving. No more wasting time sorting the clothes out. The huge tank just lasts forever which is perfect for me but down fall is as there is no jug to fill up the tank you would have to carry the iron to the sink to fill up. Advance for that is the light weight design. Another con Having iron face down on the stand does tend to leave drips of water on the floor which can be annoying at times. Apart from that the design itself is less bulky and light weight and quite compared to the last iron i had. Most unique thing about the system is the No temperature adjustment needed and the No burning guarantee just makes me soo happy!! In all I'm super pleased with this awesome steam generator. The look, the feel is just super sleek!!

The Philips perfectcare viva steam iron is an excellent iron so light and easy to use no temperature adjustments needed large water tank that last for hours so you don't need to keep refilling. This is the best iron I've ever used and I do a lot more ironing now with this excellent product

This iron is a must have for any busy wife/Mum. With a household of five I dread the ironing. This iron shortened my ironing time and made a horrible task more bearable. The enormous water tank meant I got all my ironing done on one tank, last approx 1.5 hours. The continuous steam meant I only needed to iron one side of any garment and the automatic temperature adjustment meant no faffing around.

I have found Phillips have always managed to design great irons but this one is the best I have used so far. The one feature that took me a little bit to get used to and is now massive plus point was the OptimalTEMP technology, which means that you can iron all your clothes from thick cotton shirts and jeans to delicate silk blouses. Philips say it will not burn any fabric that has the iron symbol on it. This is really easy to use and makes ironing much quicker. I found the iron just glided over my blouses instead of making them go all static. The glide of the iron is great on any fabric. With the OptimalTEMP technology the iron can be left face down on the board in between garments (it doesn’t stand on its tail like others), this is a little bit of a getting used to point as it goes against how I used to iron. This iron gives you up to 6 bars of pressure, 120 g/min of consistently powerful steam and 340 g steam boost, making it quicker to iron all the creases out. The iron has 2 litre water capacity, and having a totally clear tank window all the way round is a nice touch that helps you easily see how much water you have left. The high capacity tank is brilliant for large loads as no filling up is required. The tank is removable so the whole unit has to be taken to the sink to fill up, which didn’t bother me. Another great feature that Philips iron seem to have (well my last 2 had it too) is the smart De-Calc cleaning system, which tells you when it needs cleaned and It does it itself for you. As long as you don’t lose the dish for it. One downside is the long 2 minute start up time, which is fine when doing the big ironing pile but if something needs to be quickly ironed, 2 minutes feels like a lifetime. I do like the fact the iron switches itself off if it hasn’t been used for more than 3 minutes. The noise of it is slightly louder than my previous steam generated iron but can still hear the TV while ironing. The iron unit is slightly bigger than my last iron but with a bigger water tank makes up for the extra room needed for storage. Overall, I found this iron very effective at tough creases, much quicker ironing and I would highly recommend this iron.

First of all I am very impressed with the build quality and materials used in this iron, it certainly has a premium feel and a look that isn’t out of place in the home. I have found that the design which incorporates a large 2 litre tank in the generator makes the iron light when in use and easy to use for long periods of time without refilling. There is ample cordage from the generator to the iron which isn’t stiff and moves freely with the iron at all times. The steam cord wraps round the generator and packs away neatly however the wall socket does not have storage and hangs loose which I think is an oversight. Overall I am impressed with the physical appearance and feel of the iron. In use, the iron is a fantastic product, for its size the iron heats up in only a few minutes and beeps when at the correct temperature, a feature I like because I can be preparing the clothes whilst it warms up. As for temperature setting I was sceptical of this iron not having any heat setting using its ‘OptimalTEMP’ feature. However from using this iron I can say that I need not worry, I haven’t had a single problem with the iron being too hot or burning any clothes, even delicate items. The endurance of this iron is excellent and coming from a standard iron with an inbuilt tank I would have to refill 2-3 times depending on the amount of garments. With this iron, I have no need to refill even with the vastly increased steam generating performance. The iron self cleans and removes and water scale from the iron plate, I use this feature regularly as I live in a hard water area. I would recommend this item to anyone who has a large amount of ironing on a regular basis, It makes what was a chore a quick task without any worry of damaging the garments. The price reflects the quality of the product as would be expected from a premium brand.
